• Print Management:

At CDS we have the ability to cost-effectively produce a wide range of materials across all volume levels incorporating the most appropriate print production methods; digital, screen printing, sheet-fed and web-offset litho printing.

We have the facility to produce printed mailing carrier items such as envelopes, polywrap materials and polybags, etc.

The team at CDS has the knowledge and experience of the broad range of manufacturing processes in order to fulfil all campaign needs for all components (including promotional items to support campaign activity).

For a smooth and successful project it is important that our clients involve CDS at the early stages of each campaign production cycle. Our experience will help avoid the mistakes that can lead to missed mailing dates and a potentially poor response.

• Address Cleaning and Enhancement:

The success of a mailing campaign is largely dependent on the quality of the mailing list used. Poor quality lists will affect your response rate; they can cost you money in terms of duplicated mailings, postage costs, significant fines and, perhaps most important of all, damage to your company’s reputation.

Data Health Check – provides valuable information about your consumer database.

Whatever the size of your file, whether 5,000 or 5,000,000 residential records, we can check and report address quality to BS7666 – both on your actual supplied data and on your data after we improve it using latest Royal Mail PAF information.

We report the number of duplicates in your data at personal and family level and the number of matches against the following suppression files:

At CDS Ltd we offer a wide range of data cleansing solutions to get your data in perfect condition before each campaign. These can include:

MPS – The Mailing Preference Service was set up to allow consumers to opt out of receiving unwanted mail. It is a requirement of the Data Protection Act that all consumer data be checked against the MPS file regularly to ensure its effectiveness. Please note this does not apply to business to business data or where mailing lists are made up of existing customers who have given their permission for that company to mail them.

De-Duping – Removing duplicates from your mailing list not only helps to cut costs and wastage but also gives your clients a good impression of your company.

PAF – The Postcode Address File provided by Royal Mail contains every mailing address in the UK. Running your mailing list against the PAF file ensures that you only mail full and correct addresses thereby cutting costs and wastage.

NCOA – Royal Mail provides a redirection service to members of the public who wish to have mail which is addressed to them forwarded to a new address. The NCOA File (National Change of Address File) is taken from the redirection database containing the names and both the new and old addresses of residential customers who have taken out a permanent redirection.

• Laser and Inkjet Personalisation:

CDS have invested heavily in the latest laser and inkjet printing technology and offer sophisticated cut-sheet laser and inkjet printing solutions.

We print either ‘on’ or ‘off’ line onto: catalogues, header sheets, letterheads, postcards, flyers, envelopes, labels, invoices and statements.

• Enclosure:

Into Envelopes: all sizes including C6, DL, C5 and C4.

Into Poly:

Our state-of-the-art polywrap machine can wrap items of varying sizes, number of inserts and thicknesses, using printed or clear mailing film. It is also fitted with a high quality inkjet unit for all your personalisation requirements.

• Despatch and Postage Savings:

Despatch via Royal Mail discount postal services (Mailsort) as well as DHL, TNT City Link, UK Mail and other major carriers. It is possible to save up to 25% off the standard postal charges using Royal Mail Mailsort service. Large postage discounts can be gained as the industry opens up to competition.
